In this recording of Boston's Other Voice, which aired on January 24, 1988, host Peter Stickel interviews Chris Renn and Steven Levine from the Freedom Trail Band. Chris Renn is the Program Director and a flautist. Steven Levine is the President and plays bass drum. The Freedom Trail band has between 30-40 members, and was formed to open the Boston Pride Parade in 1985. The band has since opened the parade the last three years and also perform in other regional pride parades as well as other concert venues. They also discuss the formation of the band, how they pick the music they will perform, their uniforms, and their upcoming concert- The Gay Composer's Concert.
