Getting Married in the Public Garden, 2018

Title

Getting Married in the Public Garden, 2018

Date

2018-06-23

Description

My wife (Sarah) and I had planned a destination wedding in Florida, but were convinced that we needed to have a Massachusetts marriage license. On the anniversary of our first date, which was a Monday, we brought our wedding outfits to work with us and then left early "for an appointment." We hadn't told anyone but our parents that we were getting married that day!

Since it was a small ceremony (just us, the officiant, the photographer, and my best friend who held our bags), we had a guerilla ceremony in the Public Garden. As was the style of the time, we shared a little cellphone boomerang video on social media to let folks know we got hitched.
