Description

LESLA (Lesbianas Latina) formed in 1986. Their statement of purpose reads: "We are a group of Latina lesbians who are committed to supporting each other through our biweekly meetings. We come with a variety of experience, needs, and expectations. Our common bond is our culture. Together we share our experiences and our lives as Lesbians. Our meetings focus on what is needed by the group and what is happening in our lives." In this photograph, four women march in the Pride march with the Lesbianas Latinas (LESLA) banner on Charles Street in Beacon Hill, while a crowd watches from the sidewalk.
