<text>Gay Community News was a weekly journal published in Boston from 1973 to 1992 by the Bromfield Street Educational Foundation. It was an important resource for the LGBT community, reporting a wide variety of LGBT related news.

The Gay Community News photograph collection housed at Queer History Boston consists of approximately 1500 photographs, most of which are black and white prints. The photographs were taken for possible use in the journal and donated to Queer History Boston following the closure of GCN. QHB staff members created three series of photographs, categorizing the images by 1. Organizations, 2. People, and 3. Demonstrations.

Series 1.

Series 1. <text>Boston's Other Voice was an LGBTQ-themed radio magazine that ran from February 1981 to November 1989. The show was created by Don Latulippe, public affairs programming director at WROR-FM 98.5 (the FM sister station to WRKO-AM, both owned by RKO General), and psychotherapist Dennis Iadarolla.

The show was hosted from 1981-1985 by Dennis Iadarolla and from 1986-1989 by Peter Stickel. Don Latulippe hosted an interview with Stickel during this period, as well.

According to Peter Stickel, these recordings of the show were rescued as the station was sold and the show cut due in part to the public affairs program requirement ending during the Reagan administration.</text>
