Description
An account of the resource
Gay Community News was a weekly journal published in Boston from 1973 to 1992 by the Bromfield Street Educational Foundation. A selection of the photographs from the Organizations series is available on this Omeka site. The photographs are from a wide variety of organization in the Boston area, ranging from protest groups, to musical groups, to political groups, to theater groups. The entire Organizations series has been digitized and may be available through email by contacting The History Project at info@historyproject.org.

As of Feburary 2024, approximatley 150 more items were digitized and made accessible including from the "People" and "Staff" series in celebration of GCN's 50th anniversary.
