Description

Color portrait of Ann Maguire with a red bandana around her  neck. In the 1970s, Maguire hosted the WBUR radio show Gay Way, managed the Lesbian bar Somewhere, and served as the manager of Elaine Noble's successful 1974 election campaign. Maguire was a lifelong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and health access and served as the Boston Mayor’s Liaison to the LGBT Community from 1984 to 1987. Maguire passed away in 2023.
